What a minute on Mistral Voxtral actually costs
Cost per minute = voice agent API rate + Mistral telephony fee (not published) + your carrier per-minute rate. The phone number is a monthly cost.
Voice agent API
$0.04/min with Small 4 or $0.08/min with the larger model. Mistral prices it per reasoning model, so we treat the LLM as included. The official table doesn't say whether transcription and speech are inside that rate. A secondary report says they are, but no Mistral page we read confirms it, so we mark it unverified.

Telephony
The docs say telephony is enterprise-only and not self-serve, inbound only, and you bring the number and the SIP system. The agent cannot transfer the call to a person. The launch post says the agent answers and places calls over SIP, so the two pages disagree on outbound. We go with the docs. Mistral does not publish a telephony fee. It is set up through your account team. Your carrier bills minutes and numbers. Twilio Elastic SIP charges $0.0034/min US local inbound and $1.15/month for a local number.
Mistral Voxtral plans
There are no voice-agent plans. It is pay-as-you-go, and prepaid credits are required to turn that on. Telephony and self-hosting go through Mistral's sales team. The consumer plans on mistral.ai/pricing are not voice-agent plans.
Mistral Voxtral concurrency limit
Not published. Mistral says rate limits are set per workspace and visible in the console. The voice agent limits page lists only webhook limits. We can't confirm that a 10-call setup fits without a Mistral account.
Mistral Voxtral cost at 500 to 10,000 minutes a month
Scenario (our assumptions, not vendor figures): inbound calls on one US local number, average call 3 minutes, and the business needs 10 calls at once. The LLM is included in the Mistral per-minute rate, so there is no separate line. We assume no extra transcription or speech charges on top of the per-minute rate (unverified). Phone calls need an enterprise agreement, and the Mistral telephony fee is not published, so totals exclude it. The carrier lines assume a Twilio Elastic SIP trunk.
